This week we ventured to Long Island City to check out Materials for the Arts. MFTA, offered through the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs provides New York City’s organizations, public schools, and community arts programs with the supplies they need to run their programs. MFTA gathers a diverse amount of materials from companies and individuals that no longer need them and makes them available, FOR FREE to educators and educational programs that do need these materials. Once reaching the warehouse of MFTA we were ecstatic to see the vast amount of items there were to pick from and can’t wait for another trip back!
